This weekend I scanned in a bunch of drawings I did back in high school circa 1990 – most of them during Algebra class, I’m pretty sure – and colored them in using Photoshop. These pictures are almost 25 years old. The paper had aged a lot and was creased, stained, and had a bit of moisture damage. I actually think those imperfections give the images some nice character.
Not sure where the inspiration for this came from…
Still relevant today I dare say.
At some point I got good at drawing boards and wood planks so I drew a lot of pictures involving those items.
In high school, if I wasn’t drawing I was playing guitar…guitar won that battle. I still play guitar, but never draw any more.
This was actually a picture on the cover of an old Conan comic that I thought was cool so I drew it.
Those are really good! I think the mix of hand drawn and computer colored makes for a nice contrast.
